On the 7th January 2018 DR TV featured a story from our world comcerning a special winkle on root seeking:
If adoptees suspect having "unknown" siblings in Denmark, they will need to find specific names of possible brothers and sisters to confirm the family ties.

Denmark's only adoption agency, DIA, is looking for answers only in its own (paper) file folder.

It is absolutely absurd, says Yong Sun Gullach, who is the chairperson of the Association Adoption Policy Forum, working for the rights of adopters.

You may read more about their demand for digitalizing the files and the need for DNA registers which is backed by a Professor of Human Rights Matters - using this link (in Danish)

If there is a wish for translation, maybe we can provide that.
